I will be boxing at an Ultimate White Collar Boxing event on Saturday 18th March at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth, raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Aimed at complete beginners the team of professional coaches will transform us over an 8 week period so we are ready to get in the ring!The black tie produced event will be held infront of over 1,000 people!!

WHY AM I DOING IT - Some have asked have I completely lost the plot to put myself in this position- maybe! My response is I have family and friends who have been directly impacted by Cancer and I have seen the effects that it has, I want to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research UK.

Committing to training extremely hard over 8weeks with the high likelihood of being a bit battered and bruised to me this challenge is a tough one!! I have never boxed before in my life but making friends
on the way, getting extremely fit in the process culminating in the end event in front of friends and family all to raise money for such a great cause – then I am game for it!!

THE HISTORY - White Collar Boxing originated in New York in 1988. A doctor and an attorney trained for a few weeks before boxing each other at a black tie event. Since then White Collar Boxing has been the fastest growing corporate contact sport in the world.
