I have advanced bowel cancer, with an incurable prognosis according to my oncology team. Ive had surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Im currently on a 6 cycle regime that takes me to December 2018 and 24 cycles in total. My full story can be found on my website at www.bowelbloke.com

I'm doing what I can to heal and survive through every means possible, including doing as much exercise as I can - i'm not a big fan of exercise so I thought I would try and make it even more unpleasant by trying to improve my golf at the same time. If you have seen me play you will know how hard this is. What is also important when you're in my position is to have a strong sense of purpose, goals if you will, which Is why I thought this would be a good way to try and raise some money for Bowel Cancer UK

My objective is to be playing to a handicap of 12 by the end of 2019

I am trying to raise awareness of bowel cancer and at the same time raise some money to support those that are helping combat this disease

Please do what you can, no matter how small, to help
