We are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 08 October 2017 in support of Deborah James, one of the Mums in Year 2 at The Old Vicarage School and in Year 4 at Kings House School in Richmond, a wife, daughter, sister, friend and colleague...the list goes on. Some of us have never run this kind of distance before so it will be quite a challenge. However, we have a good reason to join together and ask for sponsorship.
Deborah was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer just before Christmas and has made it her goal to beat the disease whilst raising awareness - it can hit just about anyone regardless of your health and age. Deborah is otherwise an extremely fit and healthy 35 year old.
Whilst dealing with all the medical side of things and undergoing several major operations and chemo, Deborah is working with Bowel Cancer UK on their "Never too Young" Campaign.
