Story
Welcome to team Bouncy Bouncy bits. We will be competing in the 2022 Farndon Soap Box Derby on 18th September 2022 to raise money for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford, Chester. An organisation that is close to our hearts.
Who are we?
Paul Stanway
Owner of www.reddragonmetalart.co.uk Creator of cart, originator of bad ideas and motorsports enthusiast.
Matt Browning
Director of https://ctc-tiles.co.uk Father of one of Britain’s most promising racing drivers, Luke Browning currently competing in GB3 series (British F3) https://www.lukebrowningracing.co.uk
Cliff Lilley
Night Manager, long term motorsport enthusiast, fancy dress expert and all round good egg.
Why Bouncy Bouncy Bits?
Simple really, when Matt asked how it was going Paul had just received a delivery of 4 mountain bike suspension units and he replied with a picture captioned Bouncy Bouncy Bits, it kinda stuck and we quite like it.
Can we see a picture of the cart?
Erm, not yet it's in bits.
We could draw a picture if that helps?
OK OK we'll take some pictures as it progresses.
Why are you punishing yourselves like this?
Well we have always enjoyed slightly quirky activities. Matt has unicycled in rather unexpected places including around the IOM and coast to coast events. Paul and Cliff just like things with 4 wheels and creating things. They've rebuilt a few cars but never made a derby cart before. Plus we thought it would be a good way to celebrate Matt's birthday by pushing him down a hill, hopefully very quickly.
It's also a great opportunity to raise some money for a great cause that has supported friends and family over the years.
We’re just going to blatantly say 'get your money out and give it to this awesome campaign'
Can we come and watch the carnage?
Yes, of course. Check www.farndonsoapboxderby.co.uk and www.facebook.com/farndonsoapboxderby for full information.
