Story
On Saturday, 8 July, Nat, Lizzie and Clem, from Prior's Court's Learning and Development team will be running, sliding and bouncing in aid of Prior's Court at the Southampton 5k Inflatable challenge.
Our three challengers have had the opportunity to support and care for some of the young people with complex autism at Prior's Court and this is their motivation to take on this challenge. They say: "Our young people are unique and experience the world in their own way, which means that their every day is filled with surprises and often challenges. At Prior's Court, we celebrate together the incredible achievements, big or small, of our young people. The young people at Prior's Court have inspired us to challenge ourselves to take on this event."
The team is fundraising for a Prior's Court appeal to build a bespoke performing arts centre onsite at the charity based in Berkshire. The arts centre will help young people with complex autism meet their full potential and lead healthier, happier and more independent lives by having greater access to the transformational powers of the performing arts. The bespoke centre will include a theatre and performance space, music rooms, and dance facilities. Sue Piper, our Director of Young People's Learning has said "Our arts provision is currently limited by our facilities - not our ambitions. With your help, we can change that.".
