I am running the Marathon in Memory of my darling God Daughter Charlotte who gained her wings in 2019 - far too young.  Her incredible mother, my beautiful friend Vicki, now works at the inspirational Sunflowers near Cambridge, which is a specialist unit for children with complex needs to receive the care they need in a home-from-home environment.  

I hope to be able to raise as much money as I can to help them build a sensory garden, allowing the children to experience the outdoors, which I am passionate about.

I have chosen the Marathon as it truly is a challenge for me.  Four years ago, after several surgeries I was told I probably wouldn't be able to run again.  I wasn't going to accept that.  After two years of physio and starting training in March, when I couldn't even run a mile without stopping, the training is going well.  My latest run was 12 miles!  I am not going to break any records, but I have trained hard for 6 months - so any sponsorship for this incredible charity, is gratefully received.
