Story
On Saturday 30th June at about 3pm my waters broke and the most terrifying three days of our lives were about to begin. When we arrived at The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton we both knew in our hearts that nothing could be done – although we were both still hoping for a miracle.
We received the most amazing care and support from the incredible staff at this hospital, but tragically on Monday 2nd July 2012 at 10.40pm, after six hours in labour, our baby girls were born together and never took a breath. We were able to hold them, name them and spend time with them. They were perfect in every way but just so incredibly small. The following morning when the girls were brought back to our room, the sun came out on a cloudy day and we said goodbye to our little rays of sunshine.
Our chosen charities, Tommy's and Tamba support others in this situation and research to prevent this happening so often.
