Philema Hospitality Management is raising money for Plymouth Hospital Charity
£400

Chairty of the Year · 20 May 2021

The marvellous Mustard Tree supports people with a diagnosis of cancer in many ways - they are there to encourage people when they need it, to help, to hold and to care at a really difficult time in people's lives.

Story

Throughout the year we host a selection of events and
challenges in order to help raise money for our chosen charity of the year. For 2021, we have chosen the Mustard Tree, a fund under the umbrella of Plymouth Hospitals Charity (reg no. 1048679). Funds that are raised for Mustard Tree are spent on medical, practical, emotional and financial support to improve quality of life and help people live life well despite their illness.

The Mustard Tree is a centre, a hub, a base, where absolutely anyone affected by cancer can come in for advice and support. At the
scariest moments, staff and volunteers here, can hold you, help you and reassure you. Those questions that keep you awake at 4am? The Mustard Tree will help you find the answers. When treatments are long and the road ahead feels lonely and bleak, you  know that there’s
always someone here who will be by your side.

The centre is welcoming, a real refuge with a calming environment and support available across the week. Charitable donations are used to buy equipment and also fund additional therapies and Counsellors.
