Story
In 2020, I loved getting back into reading: getting through 65 books and having many more lined up ready to read this year ✨
It also made me realise how privileged I am to be able to access as many books as I can get through. However, not everybody can. 383,755 children and young people in the UK don't even own a book📚! Reading is more important to cognitive development than a parents' level of education or social class.
.
That's why this year, when I 'bookcycle' to friends, family or #bookstagrammers I'll be asking for a donation (however big or small ✨) to The Reading Agency 🙏
.
The Reading Agency works every day towards a world where everyone is reading their way to a better life.
That means everyone - from toddlers to children to young adults, prisoners and older people - irrespective of age or economic background. I chose The Reading Agency as they believe that reading can tackle life's big challenges, from social mobility to mental health which I wholeheartedly agree with!
