Story

Thank you for visiting our ‘team’ page in memory of our beloved Bonny. Her wishes were that instead of flowers we suggest donations for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK and Princess Alice Hospice.

As many of you probably know, Bons had been defying cancer for well over a decade. Following many operations, scans and nervous results calls, in January of this year we were told that there was nothing more that could be done.

She approached the news with typical fortitude and resilience, making plans to ensure her loved ones had support when she was gone. She maintained her wonderful spirit until she passed peacefully on April 23rd.

One of the charities we are hoping to support, Princess Alice Hospice, ensured that we as a family were able to cherish the final days of her life together. The compassion shown to all of us at the most difficult of times was unwavering, and its impact immeasurable.

Since her original diagnosis, Bonny took great comfort in the network of people she met through Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. The Net Natter group helped her to connect with those facing similar challenges, and the organisation is a leading advocate in addressing the unmet needs voiced by the Neuroendocrine Cancer community.

Instead of flowers for her funeral, we are asking for donations towards these two charities. Both are equally deserving, and hold a special place in Bonny’s and our hearts, so we hope to keep donations approximately equal between the two, if possible!

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit of Bonny’s story, and for donating in memory of this courageous and loving woman.
