Story
Over the next half a year I will be travelling across the globe to raise funds for Unicef, who are the world’s leading organisation for children. Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else.
I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential – this would not be possible without at least basic access to health, education and a safe environment. This is why I have named Unicef as my chosen charity over the next few months.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Today thousands of children will die from diseases that are easy to prevent. Deadly diseases like measles, polio, tetanus, tuberculosis, diphtheria and whooping cough are all easily and cheaply preventable by immunisation. Yet every day, 17,000 children under five die, usually because they don’t get the health care and life-saving vaccines they need.
A child dies every 15 seconds as a result of malnutrition. Millions more live with the lifetime effects – physical disabilities and learning difficulties. When disaster strikes, children are hardest hit. Whether it’s a flood, an earthquake or a hurricane, so many lose everything – their homes, their families, even their lives.
Without your support, Unicef will not be able to continue saving lives and pulling children out of dangerous situations in which they end up, whether through war, disaster, malnutrition or disease. The money and donations you give will help Unicef to carry on with their life-changing work. It doesn’t matter how much you give whether it’s a £10 donation or £100, every single penny helps us to help children.
HOW CAN YOU DONATE?

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DONATIONS?
