Story
For 15 years, Common Ground Relief has worked to build robust communities in Southeast Louisiana by:
- Rebuilding homes after Hurricane Katrina
- Restoring and preserving our coastal wetlands
- Providing hands-on wetlands field trips to local students
- Partnering with local legal organizations to facilitate residents' right to return
- Opening a food distribution hub in the Lower Ninth Ward during COVID-19
Common Ground Relief has been the boots-on-the-ground, getting things done for the residents of Southeast Louisiana.
In 2020, Common Ground Relief lost one of its biggest funding sources. To stay the course, Common Ground Relief needs your support. Please join me in helping to sustain this amazing organization that works to build a strong future for the residents of Southeast Louisiana.
Here is what your donation will achieve:
- $25 Grow 10 native bottomland hardwood trees at Nursery
- $50 Teach 5 students wetlands stewardship
- $100 Care for 400 native tree saplings for a year
- $500 Feed 100 families for a month
- $1,000 Build a mini tree nursery for a neighbor
- $2,500 Repair our wetlands planting truck (this is perhaps the most important tool for Common Ground Relief to do its important work!)
Whatever you can give WILL make a difference.
Thanks for your support and here's to a 2021 that is everything that 2020 was not!
