Story

At LYR we believe sport changes lives and should be available to all, regardless of background, gender, ethnicity or otherwise. We use rowing as a tool to get young people active and learning crucial life skills, necessary for success in the classroom and workplace. Rowing offers an opportunity to enjoy sport outside of traditional school activities and nurtures qualities like determination and resilience. From Hounslow to Barking and Dagenham, our outreach programmes work with over 70 schools and around 9000 young people each year.

A team of up top 8 of our senior rowers will be attempting the challenge on Wednesday 26th January, aiming to raise as much money as possible for London Youth Rowing.
