Story

October is Breast Cancer awareness month, and we're signing up to support Breast Cancer Now's Wear It Pink day.

Every 10 minutes a woman is diagnosed with Breast Cancer; 1 in 5 women diagnosed are under 50; 350 men are also diagnosed each year, and 25% of all cases are PREVENTABLE.

We know that unfortunatley a number of people connected to the club have been affected by breast cancer, either personally or through family and friends, and we want to ensure we can do even a small thing to contribute to future research and care.

The official "wear it pink" date is Friday 23rd October so we're encouraging all our players and members to get involved that week in one of the following ways;

  1. We're encouraging everyone to wear an item of pink (if they want to and have an item) to their training session on week commencing 19th October and donate.
  2. We’d love to encourage all teams to wear pink socks for the matches on Saturday 24th October - but this is up to each team to agree and purchase pink socks (and also in agreement with the opposition to change our kit for that one day!)

PLEASE JOIN US!

  1. Add PINK to your kit! (whether it’s a headband, ribbon, stick tape or neon shoes laces.)
  2. Donate to the page!
  3. Share with teammates to do the same!
Thanks everyone in advance for your support and hopefully we can make a positive impact and do some good!
