Less than 72 hours and it's all done!
Cancer affects most people at some point in their lives. For myself and my friends one such point was earlier this year when we lost Keith to stomach cancer. Keith had been a great friend of mine for over 15 years and to lose him just after his 42nd birthday was a painful shock and a true tragedy.
Much as I'd like to, I am not going to find a cure for cancer. All I can do is run and try to raise money so the clever folks can do their best. The more help they have the more chance we have of understanding the causes, the detection and the treatment of cancer. Maybe one day we can deal with this disease which takes so many people before they're ready.
In an effort to do my best to help I will be running the Milan City Marathon on April 15th in memory of Keith. Hopefully along the way I'll be raising plenty of money to help Cancer Research do their work. Please give what you can, it all helps.
(Also welcome would be any advice on how to persuade my poorly right Soleus muscle to make it through running 26.2 miles)
