Story
Hi, this is Bob Hewitt, thanks for visiting my fundraising page. You will remeber that a few years back I was diagnosed with Leukaemia, from which I am now thankfully recovered, largely due to the excellent skills and tratments provide by the Heartland Hospital. The department of Haematology and Oncology, under the leadership of Dr. D. Milligan, (who was my consultant) also runs an impressive laboratory which aims to develop new diagnostic tests and prognostic indicators for patients with Leukaemia, and also tests new treatments before application.
I am taking the opportunity to use my step-son Nic's attempt at the Paris Marothon to raise funds. He completed the marathon on 26th April in under four hours. His target was 3hrs 45 minitues, we are awaiting the final timing.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Donations made here will contribute toward the Heartlands Lukaemia fund (D1214) which is within Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust General Charitable Fund. Your money gets in faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
