Story
Thank you for your support today and for booking your special guests at your next virtual get together: - work or social. You are in for a treat and can look forward to some magical moments and a marathon amount of endorphins.
Bob (www.bobcat-alpacas.co.uk) is doing this out of the kindness of his own heart, for which we are extremely grateful, so 100% of your donation will be spent on nursing care minus a few admin pennies to JustGiving.
Thank you for choosing either: -
- a 20 minute virtual "meet and greet" with a suggested donation of £100
- or a 15 minute film with a suggested donation of £50
Of course if you’re bowled over by the beauty of our wee friends as much as we are then please feel free to increase your gift - for example, £180 pays for a nurse's full nine-hour shift to care for someone in the comfort of their own home, or £440 is the cost to care for a patient for a day at our Hospice.
If you know of anyone else who’d like to book a "meet and greet", contact fiona.bushby@mariecurie.org.uk
A few words about our Hospice Care too:
Our hospice is a warm and welcoming place, supporting people in Edinburgh and their loved ones with expert care, every day of the year. Our doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and social workers are supported by a team of volunteers, who play a vital role in the running of the hospice. Some of the people we support stay in our in-patient unit, where relatives and friends can visit any time of the day or night and stay with their loved ones if they wish to. We also support local people with clinics, therapies and activities during the day including one-to-one care, groups and things like reiki and massage. As well as people with a terminal illness, we also support carers and families with things like bereavement support groups where people can share their experiences and feelings. Thank you for supporting us, and helping to make sure more people with a terminal illness in Edinburgh get the care and support they need.
