I am raising money for the Fountain Centre, an independent charity based within St Luke's Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. They are celebrating their 21st year and wish to raise as much money as possible to be able to continue to support cancer patients and their families.

When every hospital I went to would need to stick needles in me to check this and check that, the Fountain Centre was the first place where I felt like I was “just a person”, they’d offer a hot drink, sit and chat with and they offered all sorts of healing therapies, group meetings and even free wig fittings and advice.

A great many people benefit from their services,, so I’ll be running/crawling/walking 5km on the 30th October with Louise B, a fellow breast cancer fighter, whilst I’m still in active treatment (this will be week 19 of 25+ weeks of chemotherapy and following on from a bilateral mastectomy.)
