Story
In September this year I will be cycling the Etape Caledonia, an 85 mile route in Pitlochry, alongside my brother as part of the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) team. They answered the call alongside the local Mountain Rescue Team to aid my dad who was suffering a sudden medical condition.
Unfortunately my dad was in such a remote location that he lost his life, despite the best efforts of both who he was with and the rescue services attending.
My brother and I have learned that the SCAA is completely funded by public donations and their work continues to save lives all across Scotland. The average cost of a call runs in the region of £2,500 and I would be humbled to offer the team even a portion of that as a way of thanking them for their efforts.
I would be utterly grateful for any donations and to be able to help the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance continue their great work.
