Story
On the 1st of Novemebr 2012 I set out to run the full length of New Zealand, from Bluff in the far Southland to Cape Reinga in the far North, a distance of approx. 2,200km. I chose to use it as an opportunity to raise some much needed funds for a charity close to my heart, Parkinson's UK.
Both of my Grandfathers were included in the 127,000 people in the UK who suffer from the disease - that's one person in every 500 - and I know this run would have made them proud. By donating on this page you will be directly helping to find a cure for this debilitating illness and supporting the sufferers, families and carers to get the most out of life.
The Length of New Zealand run turned out to be the greatest challenge I have ever undertaken and I'm proud to say that I completed the distance in 37 days. That's about 1.5 marathons per day, for 37 days.
I'd still like to raise more for my chosen charities, so please donate if you have a little money to spare. Every little bit helps. Thank you.
