Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Every year I take on a charity event challenge for a cause close to my heart and this year I am going to Kayak 6km on the Basingstoke canal and raise money for my friend Lucy Johnston.

Lucy's story

We are fundraising for Lucy to have
life changing SDR surgery to give her the chance to walk!

Lucy was born with spastic
quadriplegic cerebral palsy, and as a result is wheelchair dependent.

The NHS won't fund her surgery
because its not guaranteed to work, but they said the same about her twin
brother, and there's no stopping him now!

They say you can't put a price on a
child's quality of life, but they do- and it's steep! The surgery and post
surgery therapy will be in excess of £50000 .

Lucy is the happiest child around,
her laugh is infectious, and she makes everyone she meets smile. We just want
to give her an opportunity to live her life to the absolute fullest and make
that smile a little bit bigger!
