Story

Hello friends,

I am once again thrilled to share an opportunity for all of us to make a positive impact in the lives of many of our nation's heroes by supporting a cause that is near and dear to my heart: The Camaraderie Foundation. After the tragic events that unfolded in our country 20 years ago on September 11, 2001, countless individuals bravely enlisted in the military and have made tremendous sacrifices to serve our country. Unfortunately, many come home suffering from the invisible scars of war, such as PTSD and depression - which can tragically often lead to suicide. Many of our finest veterans and their loved ones often have no one to help them through these difficult circumstances. This is where The Camaraderie Foundation has stepped in to fill that void and help our post-9/11 veterans and their families get their mental health and their lives back.

Bluegreen Vacations is immensely proud to support The Camaraderie Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing counseling, emotional and spiritual support for Post-9/11 veterans, service members and their families as they transition back to civilian life – at no cost to them. To that end, Bluegreen has partnered with The Camaraderie Foundation to help as many post-9/11 veterans and their families as possible through this invaluable initiative.

Along with selling a special Veteran’s Day vacation package that gives back $10 to Camaraderie Foundation for every package sold and $5 for every on-site guest that tours, we are also running a campaign that anyone can participate in from October 22 – November 14, 2021 called “Operation Warrior Relief” to help raise much needed funds for The Camaraderie Foundation. For every $100 that we raise, 1 hour of counseling will be provided to these very special heroes. Our goal is to raise $75,000 which would provide 750 hours of treatment.

You can support our efforts in several ways.  One, by donating whatever amount you can through this link and/or sharing the link to our fundraising page with your friends, family and anyone you know who cares about veterans, service members, their families and mental health.  Two, you can also purchase a Bluegreen Vacations "Operation Warrior Relief" t-shirt, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Camaraderie Foundation.  Here is a link to the order site... either click on the link or copy and paste the URL into your browser:

The work of The Camaraderie Foundation is only possible through donations, and I thank you in advance for supporting this important cause for our veterans.

Sincerely,

Mark Hill, Vice President of Retail Marketing
