Story
Living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia at any time brings challenges and the coronavirus pandemic has made daily life much harder for those with dementia in our communities. Being a community care provider we see this every day and want to ensure that people affected by dementia have the support they need.
Donations will support the Alzheimer’s society’s great work in creating dementia friendly communities, supporting those caring for individuals living with dementia and their work to find a cure. They will also help fund their emergency appeal, helping people across the country affected by dementia, survive the crisis by enabling them to access basic necessities they need to live.
Will Mcgettigan and Chris Lunn are running the Stafford Half Marathon to help raise money for Alzheimer's as this charity is very close to their hearts.
Will is a Field Care Supervisor for Bluebird Care Stafford and is also our Dementia Friends Champion.
Chris’s parents were both diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and had care provided to them by Bluebird Care Stafford.
Please help them both to raise money, no matter how big or small, your donation really will make a difference in the battle against dementia.
