Hi,
On 8th May, seven brave Blue Light Card employees (Jane, Alex, Megan, Shokat, Alyesha, Becs and Alice), will be taking on a Sky Dive challenge and jumping out of a plane from 14,000ft.
Contrary to some opinions, we're not crazy! There's in fact a very good reason why we're doing what we're doing.
Having offered discounts to the emergency services, NHS, social care workers and armed forces since September 2008; we are so proud to look after those that look after us each day. We know that reaching a medical emergency quickly can mean the difference between the life and death of a patient in need. That's why the Blue Light Card team has chosen to support your local air ambulance (Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) as our corporate charity of the year.
Attending approximately six rescue missions a day, 365 days a year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) gives those most in need the very best chance of survival and recovery; delivering lifesaving care within 10 minutes on average at road traffic collisions, sports events, industrial accidents or medical emergencies in the home.
The charity receives NO government funding and relies entirely on generous donations from members of the public to raise the £1,700 needed for each rescue mission.
So - in addition to raising awareness of their vital work - we are keenly committed to helping raise money to keep them flying and saving lives through running and participating in various events and fundraising activities.
That’s why we’re taking part in the Sky Dive!
We would love if you could join us in showing your support for this amazing cause by donating whatever you can reasonably afford.
Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing you on the other side!
Jane, Alex, Megan, Shokat, Alyesha, Becs and Alice x
