Story
Thank you so much for clicking on the link. We are 3 blond birds, Nikk, Laura and Rachel, all around the 40 mark with busy lives and 7 kids between us, who are pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones to complete a sprint triathlon in Windsor in September. We will be swimming for 800m in an open water lake, cycling for 21km and then just to finish us off, running for 5km.
This is a massive challenge for us from Nikk not having run 5km before to all of us being apprehensive of swimming in open water, we have had to banish some mental and physical doubts as well as injuries along the way in training, but we are going to smash it to raise money for this amazing little girl Hope (Rachel’s daughter) who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Her full story is on the below link but she is a 9 year old happy, cheeky and beautiful girl who cannot walk, stand or sit without aid. She needs twice weekly physiotherapy input to help her body to learn how to do these things that we take for granted, and to also stop her from stiffening up and being in pain. The physio costs £1000 a month and so all money raised will go towards these costs.
Thank you so much for supporting us (we’ll definitely need it) and keep us in mind on the 25th September!!!
