Story
I am lucky enough to have 4 siblings we range from 47 to 18! My next brother down has cone dystrophy which is a genetic condition which affects the macular (area of the eye that controls central vision, colour and detail). He was diagnosed four years ago and in the last 6 months his eyesight has deteriorated to the extent that he is now registered visually impaired, can no longer drive his beloved jag and has an amazing array of support materials and kit to ensure he can continue working as a business analyst.
In a fit of emotion I agreed to walk the Thames path with Chris on the weekend of 11th and 12th September. Only realising it is 100km once I registered!!!
It’s vital we continue to support and understand this disorder to help the future.
