Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As part of my four open water swims in one day, to raise cash for four great causes, I am going to swim the Corryvreckan straight between Jura and Scarba.
This straight of water is one of the most dangerous in the world and is home to the third largest naturally occuring whirpool. The Royal Navy once described it as unnavigable.
My friend, and Charity Foundation Manager, Connal Cochrane has agreed to take on this challenge with me. Althought Connal has bagged 100 Munro's in a year and trecked across the Arctic in previous personal challenges, I'm sure this will rate as one of the most daunting for him.
Money raised will go to the three nomiated charities for this year, they are:-
UNICEF, who the foundation have pledged £300,000 to help them immunise 1 million children world wide.
The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, the foundation will aim to raise £100,000 to help a new hospice to be built in Bellahouston park.
ABF - the soldiers charity - the foundation are aiming to raise £25,000 to help support the charity's core activtities.
Please dig deep and support these great causes.
