The stories of kids from underserved communities that breakthrough to a different life via education are heartwarming and motivating but the realities for the kids fighting for that path are far different. 

KIPP Through College provides support for kids that beat the odds and make it TO college by helping them get THROUGH college. 

KIPP NJ is a charter school company that focuses on the most underserved communities in NJ. The kids that go to a KIPP school and "Work Hard and Be Nice" have an 80% chance to make it to college. 

Sadly if those kids can't get through college the efforts of the K-12 education is diminished.

Sometimes a student might have a full scholarship but not have money for books, or be the sole support for their little brothers and sisters and get pulled home due an emergency, or have a tough time adjusting to a new living environment or, or, or. 

On average a KIPP NJ student needs $1,200 of support to make it through college. 

I will be donating $500 for KIPP Through College and will match my personal network dollar for dollar up to an additional $500. So if you give $500 KIPP through College gets a total of $1,500.
