Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and to everyone who took part and helped to make the walk such a lovely event. With blue skies and sunshine, we were blessed with glorious weather again and all the marshals and drink/food stop supporters did a wonderful job - THANK YOU. Thanks also to Dave Milne and his team at the Bull at Great Totham who did a marvelous job in making us so welcome and looking after everyone so well
This is the third Blackwater Forget Me Not Walk held in memory of our younger son Tim who died, aged 23, in 2005 of acute leukaemia. Tim would have been 30 in 2012 and so we've decided to make it a 30K (19 mile) walk with a 20K option. For us, the walk is a birthday celebration of Tim's life and a walk to do a tiny bit more to give other people with leukaemia the chance to make their dreams come true.
This year we have lost 2 good friends, Simon and John and so the walk is also for them as well as all the other family and good friends whose memories we all cherish. Why not join us for the walk - you can enter via http://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk/event/local-events/blackwater-forget-me-not-walk
Please help us, every step and every £1 is a step forward for someone's life.
