Story
On 29th January our 19-year-old work colleague, Geraint Rees, was diagnosed with cancer. We at Blacks Cardiff decided to show our support to Geraint, his family and to Cancer Research UK by completing a walk for charity.
On March 10th, a team of 4 set out on a quest to conquer the Taff Trail but alas we returned unvictorious. After a gruelling first day, the team split early into the second day due to injury. Jamie and Dave arrived in Brecon in just under 16 hours in total at 12.30pm. However due to heavy blistering attributed by the warm, sunny weather and the heavy going under foot, they called it a day. The trail had taken its toll.
We simply will not admit defeat. Spurred on with the thought of not wanting to let anyone down and not forgetting the reason we set out on this adventure in the first place, we have decided that we will return to Brecon and finish what we started and complete the return journey as soon as it can be arranged.
Please continue to show your support to help us achieve our goal. We will not give up on Geraint just as we know in our hearts that Geraint will not give up in his battle against cancer.
