A team of 5 amateur/first time cyclist are attempting an Epic challenge!!!

We have decided to cycle from the Eiffel Tower to Blackpool Tower, that is a journey of just under 600 miles in  6 days!!!

We are completing this challenge between the 16 - 22 September 17.

There are two reasons we are taking on this challenge. Firstly we want to raise money for two fantastic charities.

Merlin Magic Wand - This is our companies own charity (Merlin Entertainments Group) that raises funds worldwide to arrange magical days out for children.

Trinity Hospice - A local charity on the Fylde Coast who provide compassionate care for people on the journey towards the end of life.

The second reason is personal to every rider, but mine is to complete a challenge I didn't think my body was capable of. I have done a lot of physical challenges in my life. From 20 years service in the Infantry in the Armed Forces  to Marathons and Half Marathons. But I think this will be the greatest challenge in both body and mind.

The team is very dedicated and we have been training hard over the last few months both individually and also as a team. We have completed the Beaverbrooks Cycle Ride (45mile route), Manchester to Blackpool Cycle Ride (60 Miles), Preston PedalFest (65 Miles) and we have one more team ride of a 100 mile route to be completed around Blackpool, Preston and surrounding areas before we take on the Challenge.

We are looking for support and donations and have set an ambitious target of £10,000 to raise for the charities. It is a big total but we think the challenge we are taking on will encourage everyone to donate.
