Story
Superhero day has become a highlight of the Black Firs calendar. A day when we come together as team and unleash our inner superheroes. This year our friends and colleagues across the Congleton Education Community Partnership have been invited to join us so it
looks to be the biggest and best superhero day yet!
Originally conceived as a fitting tribute to little Noah, the celebration has become even more meaningful as we have we watched Mrs Bebbington bravely take on her own superhero mission.
Both hugely inspiring and very worthy of their titles of ‘superheroes’.
This year’s superhero celebrations will look quite different as we all complete our missions remotely and enjoy a virtual dance off from the safety of our homes and gardens. However there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate and thank all those everyday superheroes who are working tirelessly in these uncertain times.
With this in mind, our superhero work will begin on the evening of Thursday 21st May as we take part in a ‘Superhero Superclap’ on our doorsteps. Costumes worn with pride as we say thank you to all our everyday superheroes in the way we know best. Spread the
word, tell your neighbours and share your photos with us!
On Friday 22nd May, we ask you all to don your costumes as your channel your superhero powers for the day. Create your own superhero or dress in celebration of an everyday superhero. Join us at 3pm to dance along to our very own superhero soundtrack.
Links will be added to our school website.
Superhero Day has always proved to be a huge fundraiser and we are sure this year will be no different. We’ve chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as our charity this year. They do hugely valuable work with children, parents and families going through the hardest of
times.
Thank you for your continued support. We know you will do us proud.
