I'm fundraising for the babies charity Bliss. This charity works with premature and sick babies and is extremely close to my heart. This is due to the story of my baby nephew Elijah. He was taken to Pembury hospital then rushed to Brighton as this was the nearest hospital with the facilities to cater for his needs as they tried to keep him healthy .He was born 24 weeks early weighing only 1lb 1oz. Elijah William Johnson was born .He was cared for at the neonatal specialist baby unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton 60 miles away from where his family live in Kent, due to the local hospitals not having the facilities to accommodate for his needs. However due to the COVID-19 situation the charity run hospital accommodation for parents was closed.Elijah was only given a 5% chance of surviving the first week .Bliss made the hospital stay for elijah more bareable by providing the family with plenty of support and provisions.
