Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running my final race in the British 10k on July 8th 2012 in aid of CLAPA (Cleft Lip & Palate Association) as my grandaughter was born with both of these conditions. The charity has been very helpful to the family and this is our way of repaying them.

The weekend of 8th July started badly with the news that junctions 1-3 of the M4 had been closed.  Then the weather went from bad to worse with the local roads all flooded, but despite this we arrived at the Park Lane car park with time to spare.

The run started and so did the showers, some of them heavy but we carried on round all of the London sights crossing the finish line at Whitehall in a time of 1hr 29mins and 18secs, wet but triumphant.  With some of the sponsor money still to come in I have raised £700.  Thank you very much everyone.
