Story

Last year, my friends Mady and Geoff discovered their son, Beau, had a rare chromosome disorder called 15q duplication syndrome. Which means he will grow up with both mental and physical disabilities.

It was life changing news for the whole family.

Due to their rarity, conditions like 15q duplication syndrome are very poorly understood. More research and funding is needed to both understand the conditions and support families who are raising children with these genetic disorders.

Geoff has asked me to join him and his team on a charity bike ride to Paris in July. 3 days and 300km of burning thighs, aching backs and saddle sores await us. I will be donating my services as the team Chiropractor, making sure everyone gets there on a bike and not in the back of an ambulance!

Please give whatever you can to raise money for Unique, it is only a small charity, so rarely gets lots of fundraising attention.
