Story

This is a challenge to see how many people we can encourage to have a go at riding 250 km in a week. Our goal is 160 people cycling 250 km in a week, which is the equivalent of cycling around the world.

The challenge was originally created for a group who should have been riding from Lisbon to Seville this month. 'Old duffers, young whippersnappers, all cyclists welcome. Riding at least 250 km in a week on bike, Zwift, Peleton, Wattbike to compensate what should have been a weeks holiday away'.

One of our riders said he'd do something charitable personally. "So here we go = If we get 100 people to do 250 km each over 7 days, I'll donate £5k to the NHS heros. I will donate another £5k to the charity of someone's choice - that someone is the person who has the highest total - kilometres * elevation over their 7 days. That should spice things up a bit ❤". The Bikecation team makes the final decision on the winner.

There is absolutely no obligation to raise money, but we have set up a Justgiving page for those who would like to raise funds for the NHS heros.

Good luck and please maintain social distancing and government guidelines at all times !

About the charity

The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) was founded in Geneva in 1997, to foster, on a global scale, deeper understanding of the values that unite us as a human community. Our aim is to promote an awareness of the importance of human values, encourage their development, and to initiate and support projects in the UK and throughout the world that meet the fundamental objectives of the IAHV organisation in Human Values (and which meet our criteria).
