Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In February, we lost Peter Talboys to cancer, 3 weeks shy of his 51st Birthday. He was a friend and colleague of mine for nearly 30 years - right back to DEC Park in the 80s and with NP / Innogy / RWE since 1991. He spent his last days at the Prospect Hospice, and his family asked that donations be made to them, to mark the wonderful work that they do. When I saw that the Prospect had organised the Big Bike Ride as a fundraiser; I grabbed the opportunity to do my bit for them!

I'll be doing 40km (25 miles) on a mountain bike - not something that comes easily or naturally to me - and with your help, I hope to exceed their £100 suggested minimum donation. Whether you knew "Tubby" or not, this is a great cause. Check out their website (www.prospect-hospice.net) for more info. They receive only 30% of their income through statutory organisations such as the NHS; the rest they have to raise themselves, which is why they stage events like this.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
