Story
I am raising money for SpecialEffect by taking part in a challenge to walk or run either 50 or 100 miles (and because I'm dumb I chose 100) by the end of May.
To do this I'm going to be bringing the running shoes out of retirement and restarting the Couch to 5k series alongside my walks with Rach, Ralph and Jack to help me get out and get a bit fitter during these lockdown days. You'll be able to keep track of my progress on this page where my runs will be automatically uploaded.
SpecialEffect is a UK based charity that enables severely disabled people to have access to video games and other leisure activities, by carrying out assessments and adapting technology to their individual needs. This can hugely benefit mental well-being, self-esteem and quality of life, as well as giving them the opportunity to have some much needed FUN! By levelling the playing field, we're bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on confidence and rehabilitation. SpecialEffect are continuing to offer assessments, equipment loans and advice during the Covid lockdowns and appreciate your support more than ever!
