Dementia is a horrible disease, not only for the effect that it has on the person who has it, but the way it effects the people around them too. My Nana was a strong woman, one of the strongest I have ever known and to see her change over the last few years has been heartbreaking. 

Sadly in April of 2022 she passed away. She has been a massive influence on my life and will be terribly missed. 

Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions people need.
