Story

Hello there,

We have set this page up as a way of remembering Denis Curran, who passed away on 26th June 2021 from complications brought on by his lung cancer diagnosis. Although Denis's health suffered greatly, he kept a positive outlook on life, and would always have time for a smile. It was therefore quite an easy decision for us as a family to try and use his passing as a motivation to do something positive.

It was not uncommon for Denis to give to charity. A shopping trip would normally end up with him wearing a sticker as a result of dropping some money into a charity bucket. We therefore thought giving to charity would be a really good thing to do.

We chose Macmillan as they have been a great support to us throughout this period. Cancer is a horrible thing to deal with and the Macmillan nurses have given us a better understanding of the path ahead, and made us all feel more supported and comforted. No matter the size of the donation, Macmillan will benefit.

We also invite you to write a reflection about Denis in the comments. Denis always had time to say hello to someone, renew an old friendship, or make a new one.

As said, any donation is welcome.

With many thanks

Denis's Family
