Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
As many of you know 20 years ago this year my father was diagnosed with and subsequently died of Prostate Cancer.
My father was a keen cyclist and originally became aware of his condition through experiencing some pain whilst out riding. Like most of us menfolk he took the usual approach of ignoring it and hoping it would go away. Sadly this was not the case, he was 45 years old.
With an early diagnosis and treatment Prostate cancer is often treatable and patients can subsequently go on to lead a relatively normal life, this is why it is important that charities like the Prostate Cancer Research Centre are given our support.
The Prostate Cancer Research Centre fund vital work in both treating this disease and helping new treatments make the difficult transition from the lab to the bedside.
The challenge I am taking part in and that will hopefully inspire you to give generously a bike ride from Lands End to John O'Groats. This circa 1000 mile ride over ten days will probably be the hardest physical challenge I have ever, or will ever do.
You can keep track of how I am doing during my ride either via Twitter:

Or my (surely to be infrequently updated) blog:
