A few years ago my uncle, Harry, was diagnosed with cancer. On 3rd September 2015, despite treatment and an ever positive attitude, he lost his battle with the disease. Just before Easter this year one of my closest friends had to watch and support her step-dad go through the same horrible experience. These are just two stories of millions and every year 340,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK alone.
In an effort to raise money for vital research, I will be undergoing an intensive training programme and then take part in a competitive Boxing Match in front of c.1,500 people on 17th June this year. As a complete boxing novice it is going to take a lot of training to be ready to fight, let alone to fight at a massive live UWCB event!
Cancer is a disease that will affect every single one of us, either directly or through someone close to us, at some point in our lives. Nearly 40% of the world's population are diagnosed with some form of the disease throughout their lives. Through your support, Cancer Research might just be able to finally beat the disease.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for supporting my efforts to battle Cancer.
