I'm taking part in Prostate Cancer UK’s Big Blue Bike Ride on Sunday 8 September 2024 to raise vital funds and awareness of prostate cancer.

This is a cause very close to my heart. As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in 2011. If it wasn't for the brilliant treatment and care I had from the Christie Hospital in Manchester I wouldn't be here today - let alone setting out to ride 65 miles on my bike!

The disease affects 1 in 8 men in the UK - that’s thousands of dads, partners, brothers and friends. Over 12,000 men in the UK die from the disease each year. But it doesn't have to be this way. The sooner you're diagnosed and can start your treatment the better chance you have of surviving. Your donation can help fund life-saving research into better tests to diagnose men sooner. Thank you.
