Story
For This Summers 2023 Tough Mudder event, we have put together a fantastic team of 50 fine ladies and gentlemen to take part, and smash it, in aid of Brothers in arms Scotland. Brothers in arms is Scotlands first mens dedicated mental health charity. With mental health issues being on the rise all over Scotland, with suicide remaining the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the uk, and help available at a low, we do this with the aim to raise a very significant sum to contribute to helping BIA continue to do the good work they do, tackling mental health problems in men.
Brothers in arms provides support across Scotland, in the form of a number of NHS approved apps. These apps provide the tools to allow men, and those that support them to to manage and maintain their mental health. One of the many features the app provides, is free therapy for men. This therapy can be accessed via instant messaging, telephone call or video call, direct with a Licensed clinical physiologist. Being this is provided over an app and from a users phone, it makes therapy more accessible, more discreet, and affordable (free). These are some of the barriers that stop men from accessing help when they need it. The charity provides therapy to over 2500 men on average per month. The funds we raise will go directly to supporting this!
