We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Hi everyone!

For the first time since the last school sports day I attended 10 years ago, I am attempting to run further than to the end of my road... 10k to be precise! This may seem like a walk in the park to most but this a huge challenge for me and I'm putting in all this effort to raise money for Alzheimers' Society.

Some of you will already know that over a year ago, my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimers'. Obviously this came as a terrible blow to her, her close friends and family. The Alzheimers' Society provide help, information and support to sufferers and their families as well as carrying out extensive research into the condition and other forms of dementia which will hopefully one day lead to a cure.

All the money raised will go into mainting the Alzheimer's helpline and funding research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of the disease. Just £20 supports a researcher for a day with all the equipment and chemicals needed to develop better treatments in the fight against dementia.

Please dig deep and sponsor me... it's for a very good cause and one that means a lot to me! Please don't forget to do Gift Aid as an extra 28% in tax will be added to your donation at no extra cost to you.

Thanks for your generous support!
