Broken fences and damaged paths, disappearing riding routes and overgrown trails. The British Horse Society has created a fundraising project specifically to rescue and restore areas in the UK, so everyone can ride safely, off-road.

Story

This July, in their 75th year, the BHS are challenging riders to ride as many miles as they can to help achieve an overall target of 75,000 miles.

I am going to ride as many miles as I can during July. Hopefully 100 miles!!! So £1 for 1mile!

Tabby and I had best start moving and getting fit…as ideally I would love to smash this!!

The money raised will go towards making off-road riding safer. Repairing broken fences and damaged paths, cutting back overgrown trails, or installing brand new routes, The British Horse Society Ride Out Fund helps projects which rescue and restore equestrian public rights of way throughout the UK. The Ride Out Fund ensures everyone can safely enjoy off-road routes with their horses. With more and more horse and rider road injuries being reported every year, off-road access is vital for the safety of equestrians. Every penny raised will support the BHS with their mission for all equestrians to be able to enjoy off-road access.
