A charity called A.M.E.N.D. Is going to be our chosen charity we will be raise money for.
I have chosen this charity because they have in the past and still are helping out my family, as my dads side of the family have a genetic condition called M.E.N.1 (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 1).
M.E.N.1 forms tumours which can either be benign or cancerous. Unfortunately for my uncle his tumours were cancerous and as a result of this he passed away in 2013 at the age of 43. His daughter and my dad are both under going regularly treatment to try and catch the tumours as early as possible to try and prevent their tumours take a turn for the worst.
Luckily Lara and myself don’t have the M.E.N.1 gene.
