Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We have now completed our 84 mile hash across Hadrian's Wall. We are most grateful to everyone who contributed to us reaching our target of £5000, but if you are still thinking of adding to our fund please do. This page will stay open for a while.

This was our story...

In early April, Bicester Hash House Harriers are to 'hash' the whole  84 milesof Hadrian's Wall carrying an occupied military stretcher in aid of two military charities, Help for Heroes  and Beer for the Boys. H4H is a well known charity supporting and providing funds for medical help for injured personnel returning from conflict.  B4tB is a lesser known fund run by 216 Squadron RAF Brize Norton who transport military personnel backwards and forwards to Afghanistan. The fund aims to provide a welcome beer for all the boys and girls returning from their tour of duty or on their rest and rehabilitation break. The beer is wheeled out on the aircraft by the RAF trolley dollies, just as they leave Afghan airspace. No doubt it is very welcome. They have also started providing a beer for the guys on 'decrompression' leave in Cyprus after a period of conflict.

Bicester Hash House Harriers are a group of beer drinkers who, as a prelude to a pint, enjoy a hash ( an hour long cross country run following a chalk trail laid by a hare).

Please help us to raise money for these two charities by donating through this page, or by direct donations to us through the Bicester H3 website. You can also send sponsorship for this hash directly to the charities but please let us know so we are able to keep track of why we are doing this. All funds donated through JustGiving will be sent directly to Help for Heroes. All other donations received will go to Beer for the Boys so in this way we hope to be able to split all money raised between the two.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please please dig deep and donate now. Help us support our brave boys and girls and if you were in a pub you'd likely buy a pint for someone returning from active service in Afghanistan, so this is your opportunity to help buy lots a beer for the them. Many thanks.,
