The Chicana/o and Latinx Studies program is dedicated to providing a culturally based education for current and future CLAS students to thrive in. Through community engagement and small class sizes guided by experienced faculty, we are dedicated to supporting the success of students as they go on to become leaders in their respective career paths.  

Over the past four years, our program has seen a 500% growth rate of students majoring in Chicana/o and Latinx Studies. The cost of higher education continues to increase and the need for scholarship support is at an all-time high. To support the success of our students and to provide critical financial support to students majoring in CLAS, we are creating the Somos MAS (Motivating Academic Success) scholarship.
