Many of you reading this will know Beverly was involved in a horrendous accident when her car was hit by another vehicle as she turned into her gateway at home on 24 April 2012. Airlifted to Addenbrookes she is now making a miraculous recovery considering the brain, chest and liver injuries she suffered.
Something like 400 have been sharing in my e-mail reports and will know that when she blows out the 70 candles on 9 July Beverly’s birthday wish will be to be able to make a substantial donation to the East Anglia Air Ambulance Service in recognition of the life-giving service they provide.
If you feel able to join the family in making the wish a reality please use the Just Giving website to make your donation which will also enable tax gift relief. If you are unable to use the on-line service please send a cheque made out to Beverly Richardson to The Leys, Melford Road, Sudbury CO10 1XT. The cheque will be paid into a designated Barclays account for onward transmission.
(If you wish to send birthday greetings to Beverly as an e-mail the address is beverly@suffex.demon.co.uk)
The tremendous support, e-mails, cards, thoughts and prayers received over recent weeks has been so much appreciated and on behalf of the family including Becky (nearly 4) and Faye (age 3) who have recently seen Granny for the first time in 8 weeks, and been asking when any helicopter goes over if it’s ‘Granny’s Helicopter’, our thanks to you all and your help in keeping Granny's helicopter flying.

“The East Anglian Air Ambulance runs two helicopters, providing advanced medical care over. They attend an average of four incidents a day, the average cost of each call-out is around £3000. The family will be arranging a fund-raising event later in the year and with the birthday gifts it would be great if we could raise something in the order of £6000 over the next few months in recognition and gratitude of the lifeline that was provided to Beverly”
